A typical week includes:
• Individual Housing - Each family will have private housing to create an environment that focuses on spending quality time together.
• Common Dining- Three meals are served each day in a common space. This will allow families a way to meet and build relationships with other families and remove the burden of meal preparation.
• Morning Programs- Each day, activities are planned for the morning in which individual family members or whole families can participate. Activities are determined by location, available resources and personnel, and participant interest. (Examples of programs: fishing expedition, paddle boarding, arts and crafts, yoga, meditation, fitness class, golf, spa services, beach Olympics, parasailing, etc).
• Optional Participation - Families can choose to participate in the morning program on any given day
or may choose to reconnect on their own. Participation at Little Pink Houses of Hope is always optional, never mandatory. Our goal is to assist survivors in creating the week that families need to rejuvenate as a unit.
• Afternoon Enjoyment- Little Pink Houses will not have any programs or activities planned in the afternoon. This is a time to rest, relax on the beach, go on a private outing, meet with new friends-
just about anything.
• Evening Fun- Each night, we will host one activity in which families can participate (examples: date night for mom and dad with babysitting provided, movie night, talent night, bonfire night, etc) Activities are determined by location, available resources and personnel, and participant interest.
